Quantum
of Solace
There is a fine line
between professional and
personal.
James Bond lost his true love. And he wants
his revenge. But when the only lead he had led to an
assasination attempt on M, Bond (Daniel Craig) is forced to
relinquish his want for vengeance and chase the would-be
assassin. Bond's only road-and it is a dusty one,
seems to lead to Dominic Greene, (Matthieu Amalric) and
Greene's girlfriend (Olga Kurylenko), who is on a quest
for revenge herself.
Quantum of Solace picks up directly,
and we mean directly where Casino Royale left
off--where Bond eliminated all but one suspect; but the suspect
is now a dead end. It seems anyone involved with Bond
never lives to tell their side of any story. That
trend continues as the plot leaves Bond with only Greene's
woman Camille, and a retired agent to help him unravel the
missing pieces to his Bolivian dust puzzle. But back at MI6
Headquarters, M is beginning to have her doubts about her once
perfect machine/agent 007. Is Bond's blood lust casting
a red fog on his vision? Can he still be trusted to
follow orders when he kills everyone he meets? Does she fire
Bond, or watch in silence as the flames
consume him?
